Rare Reef is a bright, clean fragrance with a seaside-escape mood. It is lively at first, then calm and green, and it finishes with a gentle, comforting warmth.
The start is zesty and energetic, with black currant, orange, citron, grapefruit, mint and coriander all arriving together. The heart softens into green and lightly fruity-floral layers of apricot, basil, rose and violet leaf. The base turns warm and slightly sweet, as fig, dates, ambrette and amberwood hold on to the skin.
It fits warm days, travel, weekends and anywhere you want to smell fresh without being plain. Because the fruit, herbs and amber sit in a fine balance, a decant is a good way to see how it wears over a full day and in different weather before buying a bottle.
